Yet more lost/recovered Mauifile.
Me and Maui, 1998
God he was beautiful ...

lost photo recovered: a 1 y/o Maui in 1997

My sites are all offline. Photos are not available. Don't know when I'll make time to put them back up. Soon though.

April 30th is coming.

I love cats.

In particular, my love for Maui the nuzzler Onion is undying. He was and is ... the world's greatest cat.

he lives

unknown beauty
i saw this photo on ebay and i had to have it. no one else wanted it so it came at a good monetary price, even though i fret for 5 days worrying that someone else would see what i see in it.
i wonder who shot this photo, what the kitten meant to that person, what its little life was like. it's obvious that it was very loved; i understand.
h/she reminds me of harry.

6 weeks ago harry was shaved for the first time. his mane should be out of control again by now but my mother has put an end to that with her meat cutting scissors. she confessed only to snipping here and there and calls harry her "art's n' craft" project. i was horrified that she'd cut clean his whiskers--there's an entire row of whiskers evenly half-erased right off the face of this cat - like magic! i guess she had to find some way to balance out the giant wedge she'd carved out on the opposite side. after much interrogation her eyes finally relented and confessed the truth. but no matter, harry was so friendly and open toward me yesterday that i had free reign to hug squeeze and kiss him as much as i could handle on our 1 year anniversary. it was a rapturous love fest.

he was delicious.

some time in june, 2008
i am totally flea-bitten. last night i slept with a back scratcher. my body is a red mark, puncutated by bouts of nomadic, intense, itching. this is the God's honest truth: maui never brought this plague upon me, not even once. the two pusses above are running a shelter for homeless fleas. they've been de-flead once already without benefit. i'm becoming annoyed...and i think i've contracted a tropical disease.

the lackadaisical attitude of the fluffy one of the two pictured above isn't helping. plus, the other night while stalking a flying thing flittering around just outside my bedroom window, he decided to throw himself into the screen, breaking it and the frame apart - so now mosquitos are making their way toward my reading light.
